Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Monk is one of life's optimists and his amber eyes will fill your soul. Please know that he is loved and is seeking a new home through no fault of his own.
Monk knows all the basic commands and walks beautifully on leash. He is obedient but not without a naughty streak. He will jump a fence he can see through and is an opportunist with food left lying about. A privacy fence or 5' + vertical slat fence is recommended.
Monk is a lover, not a fighter. He loves doggy daycare and other dogs and long hikes. He is a ball enthusiast!
The right home for Monk will meet his exercise needs, use positive reinforcement methods, and will not leave him without company for long periods. He will do best if left home with another dog.
His digestion does not like turkey or chicken and he has been raised on a real food diet.
