All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

|
Will and his sister were rescued as strays from an area where people don’t always take great care of their pets. When they first came into rescue, both of them were pretty shy and got stressed out easily by new places, car rides, or being away from their people.
Once Will bonds with you, he turns into a total Velcro dog—he wants to be right by your side and will follow you from room to room. His separation anxiety has gotten a lot better, but he’d do best in a home where someone’s around most of the day. As long as he gets enough exercise and plenty of love every day, he’s chill—no excessive barking, no chewing up furniture. He’s never shown any aggression at all.
Will’s an active boy who loves his daily walks. He’d be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard so he can run around and play. One of his favorite things is zooming around the yard with a ball in his mouth, looking super happy.
He really likes other dogs, though super dominant ones can make him a little nervous at first. With time and good experiences, he’s getting more confident around them. In his foster home, he’s living totally peacefully with a cat.
Right now, RORR is working with a pro dog trainer to help Will build confidence when he’s in new situations. He’s super smart and picks things up fast—he’s already nailed house training, crate training, and basic commands. He can still feel a bit anxious around new people, dogs, or places, but he’s making steady progress. With patient handling and positive experiences, he just keeps getting braver.
Will would thrive with someone who’s had experience with his breed and has the patience to keep helping him gain confidence by slowly introducing new things. Sticking with a professional trainer would keep him moving forward. For the right person, this smart, gentle boy will be the most loyal, loving shadow you could ask for.
