All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sammy - Approx. 1 year old male and is a "hybrid designer" puppy: a Shih Tzu & Pomeranian mix.  He's very energetic (likes the mud, as you can see) and absolutely loves other dogs (he would do best in a home with another dog he can dote on and befriend).  He needs socialization (all around) and he's very shy with strangers.  I am currently teaching him how to go down stairs (he goes up but not down). He needs to be neutered. Also working on house training and walking on a leash. Would you believe this owner never, ever even took Sammy for a walk? His owner completely ignored this loveable little fuzzball and taught him nothing! He is doing well with his new lessons.

A message from his foster mom: " He's very submissive, comes to you and rolls - gets a belly scratch and he's in heaven.  He's such a likable puppy that I hope to place him soon, we're growing quite attached to him.  He's certainly the definition of a happy dog & the antics when he and my much larger GSD play are hilarious :)"

 Sammy would be the perfect dog to add to your family if you are looking for a second (or more) dog. He will look to the other dog for how to act in your house and will follow his or her lead. He will become that dog's best friend for life!
