All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Poodle Simone -- Graduate Dog | |
Poodle Simone is a graduate of the famous cell dog program, where dogs are given intensive training for months under professional supervision so that they can become the very best family dogs possible. They learn to be house broken and are taught many commands, both verbal and nonverbal. She has been crate trained, obedience trained and socialized. They are exceptional dogs in every way. Simone is young and lap sized. She would love to be pampered. She would be happy to go on walks with you and to play in your yard. She would like to be the very best girl she can be, but most of all she would like to be YOUR little girl.
A NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She is wonderfully crate-trained and very smart and responsive. She sleeps in her crate beside my bed at night and never makes a sound until I get up in the AM. I can't say enough good things about her. She is healthy and eats well and is up to date on all her shots. I will be getting her next rabies immunization in late October, as she is due for that. She is quiet... only barks when I return home and she is so happy to see me. She is a 'nibbler' and loves to chew. (She destroyed a few buttons on pillows before I realized I needed to keep them out of her reach.) I have learned that rawhide chews are not good for her as she gets diarrhea. I only let her chew on something called 'Red Barn Bully Sticks" and limit her to only a few minutes at a time or she will devour one very quickly. She is incredibly friendly... to people and other animals of all kinds. She doesn't seem afraid of thunderstorms, but is wary of the sound of crinkling paper or plastic bags. She slipped and fell down my wood stairs and as a result will no longer even attempt to go up or down... they are quite slippery. Very young children are probably not good for her, as constant running and noise make her nervous.
