All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Fiona | |
|
Fiona is one of those dogs that are just great all around animals. She is a happy, outgoing dog who loves all the world and everything in it. She is fine with men, women, kids, other dogs. Just a puppy, she is ready to explore all that is out there with you on the other end of the leash. Her foster is starting her on house training and teaching her good house habits. Fiona is full of puppy energy and will want to play and play and play, but then fall into a heap and sleep. She would like to go to an active family that will enjoy taking her for walks, hikes, even jogs or runs. She will be perfect as a best friend for an individual, or as a family dog. She is going to be a very adaptable dog to nearly any situation, as long as it includes exercise. We are guessing she might turn out to be the best dog you have ever had! Sweet Fiona is eagerly awaiting what the next day, the next hour will bring her. She is hoping it is you!
SPECIAL NOTE FROM HER FOSTER, WHO KNOWS HER BEST: The house training is going well. We haven't had an accident since Friday evening. No problem in the crate but I do get up myself at least once during the night to go the the bathroom and let her out too. She will walk in front of me and go out to pee then comes back in for a treat as she goes back into her crate. She also does well on a leash and friendly with everyone but will bark until they speak. When placing her in a home, I would stay away from multiple dogs home especially with another female unless its a large female that will always be larger than her. She doesn't bother our little guys, 10-15 lbs or our 60+ dogs. Only try to be bossy with those around her size.
