All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

There are lots of nice dogs out there, and then there are dogs simply made to be family dogs. Easy going, loving everyone in the world, people, other dogs, even cats...that would be Heiress. She has a huge desire to please and is a wonderful combo of a beagle and a shepherd. She has that shepherd body and legendary loyalty, with the beagle head and ears. A good, all around dog. The kind you think about when you say to yourself, "Let's get a dog". The last thing in the world she would ever want to do is cause any trouble and because of that, in no time at all it will seem like she has been a part of your family forever. OK, by now you have taken another look at her picture and have noticed she is a bit rotund. Weight Watchers, here comes Heiress. You can be sure in the last few months she hasn't missed ANY meals. If she has any fault, it's that she love her food. I know just how she feels. Young and healthy, she simply needs someone not to stuff her and to give her some exercise. Her figure will come back in no time. No more hotdogs for Heiress! Her personality? Outgoing, happy, mellow. And oh, will she be your friend. She will love you with every beat of her heart. (It's that shepherd thing!) What more could you want in a dog? How about a well-trained one, who is also completely vetted, has all her shots, and is already spayed for you? More? Yes! She is a graduate of the famous cell dog program, where dogs are given intensive training for months under professional supervision so that they can become the very best family dogs possible. They learn to be house broken and are taught many commands, both verbal and nonverbal. She has been crate trained, obedience trained and socialized. Graduates of this program are exceptional dogs in every way. Our girl is ready to be YOUR best girl.

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM HER CAREGIVER: Every time I see Heiress she is always wagging her tail and is happy. This is a perfect dog for someone that just wants a nice dog. She is quiet, and loves everyone she meets, dogs included. She does fine with cats also. Heiress needs a family that isn't overly active but will walk her and wean her off her treats.
