Rosie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

NO! We did NOT Photoshop this picture! Instead, we are considering channeling Yoda. If the force is with this girl, we will know for sure! Those ears are...special! Could you ever wake up, look at Rosie, and not smile?  She is so smart, she will learn quickly, because she does want to please. You will just need to tell her what you want. This wonderful dog is overflowing with love and ready to give that famous German shepherd loyalty to her family. She has never had a real family, you see, and she has been saving it all up. Whisper to her spectacular ears that you love her, and she will be yours forever and ever. A universe full of laughter and joy is about to come your way.

Rosie has a fear of men and would do best in a female home. She is initially shy of new people (women) but a few treats and she will quickly give you kisses. Her response to fearful situations is flight rather than fight and while she likes other dogs, she does not have good play skills and would require another canine companion that is solid in temperament and non responsive to her playfulness.

Rosie has the capability of being a wonderful loving companion in the right environment with a patient person willing to work with her. She is young and still has so much life to give.

ROSIE NEEDS A FENCED YARD and needs someone who is home a lot.
