All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Captain Jack is one of those great all around dogs that give the canine species their good name and best friend to mankind status. Friendly, happy, and outgoing, he would make the very best of family dogs. He longs for a real family of his own and would let you know in a million ways every day how grateful he is to be loved. The love you get back from him will be breathtaking! When you take him for a walk, it's going to be SO much fun. The volunteers who walk him call him "Mr. Happy Feet", because he simply prances along with them, so delighted to be out and on the other end of his leash. He will make you smile and smile! He is wonderful with other dogs, so if you are looking for a companion dog to a current canine, the Captain would be an excellent choice.

"I absolutely love this boy, he is so sweet and laid back. He loves to sit at your feet and get his belly rubbed and hang out at your side. 

Jack likes any kind of food (especially the cat's food). We feed him Rachel Ray and mix in the fresh pet food that is in Cold section.  He does okay with cats and other dogs, doesn't really bother with them. He is not aggressive at all. Hates thunder storms. He is housebroken and can be left for hours without accidents. LOVES fresh cold water. Likes to walk but doesn't play much, mostly likes to watch the world go by peacefully.  Very loveable dog.
