All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
About Meeka | |
|
Meeka is a survivor! She came out of a terrible puppy mill, where she received no care at all and had suffered greatly from neglect. After a long road, this girl has had the heart to pull through and enjoys all the love she can get . She is now not only ready for her first haircut, but is also ready for her furrever home!! Very tiny, at only 8 pounds, she is eager to know what it is like to have a real home, a soft bed, good food in her bowl, and best of all, her own person to stroke her gently and share the bond she was born to give. On the other end of your leash, she will learn to forget the bad days and treasure every hour with you.
If you are interested in Meeka, please read our links to the puppy mill industry, so you will understand what has happened in her background and have a good idea of what to expect from her behavior as she adjusts to the new and happy world she is discovering.

PLEASE NOTE: Puppy mill rescues are not able to be placed in a home without dog experience (no first time dog owners); must not go to a home with young children (too much activity for the dog trying to "make it" in the outside world); and must go to a home where they will not be left for more than a four-hour stretch.
