All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sometimes you can just see in a dog's eyes that they just have given up. That is what we saw in this dear little girl, but we were not going to let her down by leaving her in a very high kill shelter. We got her out just in time and have discovered she has a sweet and loving temperament. She loves people, children, adults, other dogs, even cats. She is so grateful for any small pleasure, like a pat on the head, food in her bowl, a soft place to lie down. She hasn't had much so far in her young life and the biggest thing she has missed is someone to love her. She has saved all her own love up in her heart, waiting for someone to love her back. We have had her spayed for you and have given her all her shots, so, really and truly, all you need to add to the mix is love. She is ready to go for walk with you, play in the yard, play iwth other dogs, yet she will always search you out, look up at you with those beautiful eyes, and say in every way she can " You are the one who came for me." She will never, ever forget.

Special note from her foster:  Lulu is a wonderful and loving dog. She is smart and sweet. She is 100% housebroken and does not need to be crated. She is okay on a leash but would love to run a bit. So a fenced yard or dog park outings would be great for her. She seems to get a long with all dogs and cats. She would love another dog to play with but would be fine as the only dog too. She seems to get lonely if left for too long – again another dog in the house or someone that doesn’t work full time or works from home would be ideal. I think she could use just some minor tweaks with training – nothing much – primarily because she is still so much of a puppy. But she hasn’t chewed anything other than a piece of paper once. She is eager to please and has so much love to give. Boy is she cute. She loves her toys and plays with them quietly by herself. She also loves kids. She is afraid of car rides but I have been taking her with me to try and get her more comfortable. Honestly, she is a very very good pup and will be a great addition to any family.
