Login to Remember your Favorite Animals and Breeds!

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

We aren't quite certain what breed our Zoe is.  When she first arrived, we were told she was a shepherd mix.  Then we were told she might have some sheltie in there.  Now we are thinking she might be a hound mix.  Whatever breed she is, Zoe is your best bud in the making. Ready to romp with you in the yard and love you with every beat of her heart. Her temperament just couldn't be better. Sweet, happy, loving, and very, very friendly. She is so young and smart, she will be able to learn absolutely anything. This girl is full of life. How incredible if you get to be the one she turns to with the offer of her soul and life. Healthy, sweet and ready to go!

From those who know Zoe best:

Zoe is a wonderful dog when she gets to know her people. She's a tad hesitant when meeting new people, but quickly warms to them. She loves cuddling and has a very soft mouth and doesn't nip or bite. She is whip smart and very trainable. Zoe already knows her basic commands and will learn many more with a skilled owner. She does not respond well to sudden, loud noises so corrections to behavior should be a firm "no" or "ah-ah," but not in a raised voice. Going along with this, Zoe seems happiest in a house with activity, but not craziness. As such, she will probably do better in a family with calmer, older children. She also has some separation anxiety and would love a home where at least one adult is around for a good chunk of the day.

She is housetrained and once she's comfortable she knows to go outside.

Although Zoe is amazing with her human companions and dogs that she knows, she is a submissive dog and still trying to understand new dogs that she might meet. With time, training and patience, Zoe will understand that dogs are not usually a threat and can be fun.  In fact once she meets a new dog and learns they are her friend, she becomes their best buddy.  For that reason, Zoe would like a dog friend in her new home.

Zoe will require a home with a physical fence.
