All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Bruce is full of life and absolutely excited to wake up each morning, ready to greet the day with bounding joy. Still will puppy energy, at barely 8 months old, he wants to go to a family who will give him lots of exercise. If you are active, he will keep right up with you, all day, every day. Born and bred to be super intelligent, he is amazing in his ability to learn new things quickly. If those new things include activity for his healthy body, even better. He is already great at games of fetch, and knows to "sit" for his treats. He loves treats! His friendly, outgoing personality makes his so much fun to be around. He just loves everyone, including children, other dogs, and even cats. Already housebroken, and also crate trained, he walks well on a leah and is attentive to anything you say or communicate through body language. It's almost as if he can read minds. His coat is gorgeous and full and he absolutely loves to have you brush it. He will stretch out his body in bliss to feel your hands and the brush on his coat. Sign him up for obedience training and you will have the valedictorian of the class. Play flyball with him, throw a frisbee, a ball, a stick...yuor days will be full of fun with Bruce!

This dog was turned into the shelter because he's so active.. please before you submit an app for this beautiful dog.. you MUST have a fenced yard, you MUST be active and be prepared to exercise this dog vigorously as well as keep his brain active. If you are into some type of animal sport ie flyball, agility, etc.. he's a great fit. If you are an athletic and active, this is the dog for you. To leave a border collie in a sedentary environment will mean a bored and destructive dog. Bruce was found under a porch as a shy puppy. he is crate trained and likes routine. He has never been chained and had full run of fenced yard. He loves being outside and loves the snow. He will fetch, sit, walk nicely on lead and do anything for food. he has a sweet disposition, is very smart and still very much a puppy. He loves being brushed and has been with childre 11-16 yr old.
