All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Ziva is the ideal dog for an active family. With her whippet background, her greatest joy is to stretch her legs. Watching her run is a real thing of beauty. If you love to jog, you have just found your best ever running partner. Her spaniel side makes her the loving family dog that she also is. We thought we'd let her foster tell you about her, as he knows her the very best:

Honestly, she is a great dog.  She never has an accident in the house, she doesn't chew things up.  Also, here are some great things about her: 

* Loves to play ball

* Sits quietly on my lap for morning coffee before work

* Stands like a guard dog in between the chef and the stove :)

* She used to jump in the shower, but now she runs if you say the word bath :)  But once she's cornered in the bathroom she voluntarily gets in the tub when you tell her.

* She grabs her leash if it's within reach and try's to get taken for a walk

* She jogs with me (2 miles) and obediently stays to the right.

* She loves walks in the park

* When you say crate she goes right in

* She loves apples, cucumbers, and carrots

* She loves to lay in bed an watch tv

* She knows how to sit, give her paw, and lay down on command
