All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

I know I'm not looking my best, but, you see, my people decided to move one day and left me behind to fend for myself. It was hard to find food and I was so cold and afraid. I got thin and my hair began to fall out. Life was not looking very good, and, in fact, I didn't think I was going to make it much longer. People would pass me by and I heard them say "poor dog", but then they moved on. All I've ever really wanted in life is a place where I could be warm, have some nice food in my bowl, and, if I got an extra wish, it would be someone to pat me gently once and a while. My own person is almost too much to hope for. I have a German shepherd heart, a loyal heart, and it makes me long for someone to love, to be my very own. I'm still hopeful, really I am. I look at each person passing by, wondering if this might be the one. A family? I can't even imagine such a wonderful thing. I am ever so grateful for such simple things. Do you have a blanket I could have? Do you have food, so my tummy won't hurt any more? I'm young, and I have my whole life to give to you. Some nice people are taking care of me now...they got me shots so I would be what they called "up to date", and took me to a vet, who found me very friendly. He said he couldn't believe I still was such a good dog after the terrible treatment I had received. Remember that part about being hopeful? I believe each time the next person will love me, so of course I wag my tail and try to put my best paw forward. Are you out there for me? Please come soon. I am waiting patiently. I will be your best friend and I'm a good boy!

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM RESCUE: Brody Boy is an amazing dog. He is very good with other dogs and cats. After keeping himself barely alive, he has, unbelievably, kept his faith in humans. He lost a lot of his hair due to malnutrition, fleas, and fear, but it's now coming back in with food, care, and a warm bed. He has all the makings of a wonderful dog and has been well worth the effort of saving. You are going to love him, but he will love you back more than you can ever imagine, because he will know that you were the one who came for him at long last. He is the kind of dog who will be your loyal companion until his last breath.
