Ryder the saint! needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Ryder is an amazing pup. I love him to pieces and he is best friends with Cubby. He gets along well
with all dogs, cats, hedgehogs and children and is very sweet and gentle but does love to play and has a lot of energy. He needs a home with a tall fence because he likes to chase deer and he can jump gates and short fences. He loves to cuddle and gives sweet kisses. He is extremely timid at first but bonds quickly. At first he will hide under furniture or try to escape but it doesn't take long until he is sitting on your lap. He is very small for a St. Bernard mix at around 55 lbs. he will make an amazing dog for some family.

Ryder was previously known as Spartacus.... he is young and energetic and definitely needs some training and socialization.. but if you give him the time and patience, he will repay you many times over with devotion!

We will not place this dog in a home with children under 12 yr old or cats.. He needs a dog savvy owner who can commmit to training and working with him..
