Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Maggie Moo will love you and you will love her!  She is a 2.5 year old border collie mix that's incredibly smart and will show you this by following many commands such as: sit, stay, down, "go to bed", rollover, "go pee", and touch.  She's still working on heel and is getting better everyday (especially when there aren't any squirrels around!).  In addition, she's done basic agility where she truly excelled!  She's potty trained (has never had an accident) and knows not to chew up any shoes, walls, clothing, or anything else that isn't hers.    She's also an incredibly sweet dog - she loves to give tons of kisses and her favorite thing to do is to cuddle up to you in the evenings. In the house she's very content laying around, chewing on a bone or tennis ball.  When she's free in a fenced in area, her border collie instincts come alive and so does her energy!  She loves chasing tennis balls but will let you know when she's tired by laying down for a breather.  Maggie is incredibly friendly with dogs that she knows, but is leash reactive with new dogs that she meets while out on a walk.  Her foster parent is actively working on using positive techniques to remedy this behavior, but because of this, she would do well in a household with an experienced dog owner that has a fenced in backyard where she would be a single pooch.  She loves people (especially women), and does OK around children.  She's shy with kids at first but then will warm up to them and has never shown a smidgen of aggression towards them. Maggie is fixed, up-to-date on all her shots, and doesn't have any health problems whatsoever.  She also has an incredibly soft and healthy coat that she loves to show off after a bath.
SPECIAL NOTE: Maggie Moo is energetic, intelligent, responsive and afffectionate. You simply couldn't find a better best friend. If you like to jog, Maggie will be right there by your side. Play in your yard? She will play and play and play...a happy dog! She will require a fenced in yard.
