Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Ruddy is a superb example of a purebred German shepherd. He has a large helping of that legendary shepherd loyalty and is searching for the individual or family to whom he can give his life and heart. He is perfectly house trained and has been through basic obedience, graduating at the top of his class. He is a high energy dog, loves to play, and has been a jogging and biking partner. He loves his toys. When you come to visit, he will bring you all his treasures and put them in your lap, then look at you hopefully, trying to will you to throw a ball for him, or play tug of war with his rope. One of his favorite activities is swimming. He would love playing with you in the water. He has been raised with four young children and loves kids. He would play all day in the yard with them. He ignores the family cat, gets along with the sheltie in the family, has an alpha personality and likes other dogs as long as they remember that he is the leader. His temperament is outstandingly friendly and he doesn't bark without cause, but he will announce someone at the door with the deepest of barks. His current family has no time for him, so if you want a companion, like to jog or ride bikes, swim, hike, or just play ball in the yard, Ruddy could be your boy!
