All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

A gentle older boy, suddenly without a home just at the time of his life when sitting next to you and watching the squirrels and birds was his hope. If you are loookng for a gentle, wise, older guy with whom to take wonderful walks, or have pleasant times out in the backyard, think of Ashton. When you know the love of an older dog, you also know how special it is to share those quiet times with him. He will look up into your eyes with such intelligence. He has it all figured out...this life thing, and he will share that quiet place with you. He is friendly, healthy, and ready to be your best friend. A great friend, who will ask nothing of you but a soft pat on the head. And for this, you get his whole heart and the wag of a grateful tail.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS CAREGIVER: He is extremely sweet and loves to have someone with him and loving on him...very much a people dog. He seems to get along with other dogs. He hasn't paid much attention to the hospital cats and loves all the staff. He is a wonderful, sweet older dog and anyone who meets him will fall in love with this sweet gentleman!!!
