All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Gunner's foster loves to talk about him, so we decided to let her tell you aall aobut him first hand! ... "He loves to go for rides and be with you as much as he can.  I am fostering

him and he sleeps with me, always touching me (head on my chest/abdomen or

back up against me).  He seems to be more of an only pet as he wants to be

your companion and best friend!  I don't believe he mixes well with other

pets but that doesn't mean he can't. 

He loves a tennis ball sized ball but as Pits have strong jaws ...

Stuffed toys and actually tennis balls get ripped up very quickly!  He loves

Budda Bones, but has to be supervised with them as he can chew through the

knots and then toy should be replaced.  

He is crate trained and does whine fir about 5-10 minutes as he would prefer

to be with you.  After that he settles right down and goes to sleep. 

He leash walks well, doesn't bark much unless playing with you or his toys.

Very quiet Pit but also has the Pit energy level.  The more distractions at

your home, the more energy you will see displayed. Such as being "in town"

with glass windows and doors as opposed to lower light and less noise on a

large property.  

He has been "human friendly" to everyone, eager to meet them. 

He is up to date on shots and rabies.  Good health, beautiful coat.

He is muscular and longer legs. He may have been shock collar, bark collar, or invisible fence

trained.  He stays fairly close to me when walked off leash with no distractions. I also

think he was in an apartment/condo/townhouse where he was taught to be quiet

because of neighbors.

 He LOVES his chest rubbed and usually will lay completely spread out on his

back to get his lengthy chest rub from me and often will fall asleep and

start snoring gently within minutes :)

 He is however, very aware of where you are, he will open his eyes, see if

you are okay or coming right back and will either choose to follow you or

drift back off to sleep depending on what he feels is needed.

 He is my shadow, my companion, my friend in a short amount of time.  I

believe he will attach himself to whomever is his new owner and friend!
