All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

I don't think Perry has one aggressive bone in his body.  His face just melts your heart.   He is a very mellow fellow.   I know that he would be alot of fun given the opportunity because he just loves people and gets really excited to be going places.   He is pretty quiet, housebroken, goes out, comes right back.   You couldn't ask for a more perfect guy.    He does like his milkbones!    Perry is an all-around great dog.  He is so tender and loving.  All he wants to do is be with you-- literally wherever you are that's where he wants to be.  He looks up at you with those beautiful eyes and instantly you fall in love with him.  He is so laid back ! He knows commands --- sit, speak, come, paw.  He is great on a leash.  He misses you so much when you're gone that when you return he is SO excited to see you again even if you've been gone only for a short while.  One of his favorite things to do is wait for you on the other side of the door -- like when you are taking a shower he's there waiting for you to come out.  If you're wanting a "shadow companion" that would be our Perry. He watches you're every move when you leave the room and if there is no one else in the room you can bet he will follow you to wherever you are going.  Our boy has had a previous injury and has a pin in his left hip but that doesn't hinder him at all.  Although he is slow sometimes at getting up or off of the couch -- it doesn't stop him for going where he wants to go.  He has found he can get on our bed today -- I wasn't sure he could do that and he can! LOL! He has no problem with stairs. You do NOT have to crate him at all he's that good in the house.  He gets along with other dogs and could care less about cats.  He loves to take rides in the car. And for sure he loves his treats -- he expects a treat when he comes in from a potty break...you tell him to sit then speak and he knows he will be getting a treat (milk-bones).  Our boy is underweight even at his current 73 pounds
