All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Sweet and shy, Amber is affectionate and wants to be loved more than anythng in the world. She can be frightened of new situations, but if everything is taken slow, giving her time to adjust, she will be fine. She is in the prime of her life and wants very much to please. Given a feeling of safety, she is going to be a wonderful best friend. There is no meaness in her at all, only hope. She would love nice walks and someone to pet her soft fur gently, to whisper to her that she is a good girl, and for those simple acts, you will have her whole heart.
She came to us with another, very similar dog, who we think might be her son. She will turn to her son, Aaron often for reassurance. If Aaron "tells" her it's alright, she is fine. They really do love each other, and while we will adopt them separately, if you are at all interested in a wonderful pair, please go look at Aaron, too. He is pictured with her at the bottom of the page and also has his own page on this website.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She hasn't pottied in my house at all. She's great in a crate and really sweet with the cats and smaller dogs. She's a little timid around people. Both are great with kids, and very playful. Aaron loves playing with a tennis ball and enjoys prancing around with a "Baby" (which is what we call it when a dog adopts a stuffed animal).  Amber loves to cuddle, and will follow a person around once she feels he or she is being affectionate. Both appeared to be house trained and neither showed any food aggression at all.
