Wyatt needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
Wyatt is a great dog ready to be your best dog ever! He has a wonderful personality, very intelligent, friendly, outgoing, happy. He is also gentle, sweet and a quieter dog, not at all hyper. Even better, he already a well trained dog, already house broken, with good house manners and crate trained. . He likes other dogs, cats, really people in general. You are going to love taking him for walks and seeing him literally prancing along right next to you. Like to go for car rides? So does Wyatt! Want to play out in the backyard? So does Wyatt. Ready to curl up and watch a little TV, so will Wyatt. Eager to please, wanting to be all your dog. A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: Wyatt is the perfect house guest! He is terrific with all the dogs he has met- all sizes and ages. Wyatt just walked away when my dog gets bratty with his toys. He ignores the cats but LOVES pets and attention from anyone who will give it to him. He is quick to warm up to both men and women. He has also been gentle with the children he has met on the street. Wyatt is not very food motivated. We have tried many different types of treats and the only “treat” he likes is graham crackers. He’s a silly boy. He would much rather get verbal praise and pets than an edible treat for a job well done. He walks great on a leash/harness and really enjoys sniffing around outside. He must not have been allowed on sofas or beds in the past. He will jump up once invited. He is perfectly happy sleeping on his bed in our room versus being in our bed. Wyatt is housebroken and very trustworthy to be left alone. He does not seem interested in toys and will not chew things. His fur is absolutely wonderful. It is so soft and is a beautiful rust color with black highlights. My husband nicknamed him 'Foxtrot' because he looks like a fox when he prances around outside! He has gotten many compliments during walks on his unique coloring. A quick brushing will keep the mats away and he loves to be brushed. Wyatt is a total sweetheart and I think he will be a wonderful companion to any adopter. I really enjoy my time with him.
