Good ole Harley, a great and loyal German shepherd, now suddenly put out of his home because his family lost theirs. He has always been a good boy, a loving dog, a fine house dog. Nicely house trained, he has always lived in a house since he was a puppy, so he truly knows the drill of how to be the best boy and live with a family. His foster says he is "sweet and affectinate", likes people, and gets along great with other dogs, great with cats. He is a big, handsome boy at over 100 lbs. who will "tell you all about it" in that typical German Shepherd talk.. Anyone that has owned a shepherd will tell you how they talk to you.. and this boy does.  It is difficult for him not to have someone to adore right now...perhaps he will look into your eyes soon and see the new love of his life. Having the whole heart of a German shepherd is unforgettable. You simply cannot meet this boy and not fall in love with him.  This is one very handsome dude and he's a boy that will continue to make you smile for years to come!
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: He is the epitome of a gentleman in a dog form. He is gentle, strong and proud in carriage. He is happiest laying at your feet, and taking leisurely strolls around the yard  while you garden or just walk . He LOVES car rides!  He is exceptional as a house mate, never messy or  noisy.. unless someone comes into your yard or to the door. Then he sounds ferocious and lets you know someone is there. He sits, shakes and lays down and is starting to learn to roll over. He comes when called, certainly knows his name. Staying, well that depends on if he thinks its the right time and place. He has had a rough life at times and now in his later years just enjoys life and love to the fullest. He will sit with his muzzle on your lap and look at you with such love while you stroke his head and nose. He also likes other dogs and if they get growly with him he will give them a look and maybe growl and they back off, his size can be intimidating. He also likes cats, he is in a house of 11 and lets them not only walk all over him but will let them share his dinner. He is good with older responsible children but little ones play a bit too rough for his liking.
