All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Maddie is a true sweetheart, loving,  and learning more each day about the joys of walking on a leash, going anywhere you want to go. She likes to meet other dogs while walking, but would benefit from some further training, because she is so excited to meet them that her enthusiasm may scare them (and their person) away. She is smart and learns quickly, so teaching her to approach other dogs in a different way should be no problem.  She is an ideal size for a family dog at only 40 pounds, so she is on the smaller side of medium. She could have some Sheltie hiding in those genes. Whatever the mix, though, it’s a good one, and she would love to be wagging her happy tail at your house. Whether you’re an individual or a larger family, she will show you her affection every day.”She is a very energetic and friendly dog, and likes people and ready for her forever home!
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HER FOSTER: She's terrified of loud noises such as the lawn mower and thunder. She is very food and play driven so if someone wanted to teach her tricks it's not hard to get her undivided attention. She has unlimited energy, we've done several hour hikes and she's still ready to go, but that being said she's not constantly bouncing or racing around the house. If you're relaxed and sitting down so is she. She is completely crate trained so she'd be fine for someone who has to crate while they go to work. Oh and she is absolutely a social butterfly! She wants to meet and greet everyone. She's very adaptable and once she gets in a routine she's on cruise control and is super easy to live with. Oh and she doesn't get up on any furniture. I still think she would do best as an only dog.  I feel like she just wasn't socialized very well while she was younger so she is overly excited and vocal when meeting other dogs. And oh course she's been great with my daughter!
