Marnie
Our beloved Marnie passed away today. She was adopted out of your program in 2011 at 13 years of age. We consider ourselves lucky to have had 3 years with her in our family.

Dahlia
"Our beloved Dahlia left us in August of 2014. We had only two short years with her but she truly made them memorable. Our constant companion her ambition in life was to be petted 24/7. She almost achieved it. Lovable yet totally demanding of attention, sweet but pesty. I don't know how I am going to work in the kitchen or change the beds without her constant assistance. She was a wonderful little character and we will miss her dreadfully."

Journey
About 5 years ago Libby asked me to foster a dog who was timid, scared to death and needed a better place for one week. Today my beautiful boy passed over the rainbow bridge. When he first arrived he found comfort under my bed - for 3 weeks I slept on the floor with him, and he let me do it. I would pull him out on his lead to go potty, but he would dash right back. I tried gradually moving his food and water bowls away from the bed into the middle of the bedroom. Finally another of my "kids", Monte, also a Libby gift, got tired of Journey seemingly getting all the attention. He went under the bed, brought Journey out with his lead and they have been inseparable ever since. Monte will always be a hero to Journey. As the weeks went by I couldn't give Journey back! He was another 4-legged son. Absolutely a delight - never could figure out what breed, but a delightful mix of everything that is good. He learned to play, smile, and dance. Never did jump up on anything. When I noticed, about 18 months ago, that he couldn't see in his right eye Libby and Debbie helped me find an opthamologist. Unfortunately, when he had been abused in his prior life his retina had been detached, now cataracts. This didn't stop Journey. He was right out there following his brothers and sister around. As I held him this morning I reminded him to look for Adam, my son, at the rainbow bridge. I reminded him that Adam would be there for him. I pray that his 5 years with us were happy ones, I think they were. He certainly made my days happier. Marci

BB
BB aka Beast never knew the pleasure of a good loving home for his last 8 mos of his life.. but he did know love from his wonderful foster who did everything to make his comfortable and happy. "We sent BB on to his next adventure today. He had really gone down hill in the last week. It was time. He went quickly and Frank and I were with him. He had roast beef for breakfast:)"

Bea
It is always sad to say good bye but dear little Bea was in just too much pain that it was the kind thing to do.
