We love getting updates from our adopters! This page is a collection of the photos and stories sent to us. As our website restricts us to only one photo and story for each dog, we have created a photo gallery here -

Lolo

My wife changed Lolo's name to Ginger and as she told you on the phone she has captured our hearts. We both still had a large knot in our chest ever since we had to put our 15 year old boy , Snooker, down in August due to complete kidney failure. We only had Ginger for three days and already the knot is starting to loosen up. We were surprised when we got there because Dr Pettigrew who was not supposed to come back from vacation until tomorrow was there. The vet and all the girls that work there made a big fuss over Ginger. We told her that no one was sure of her age but figure about 4 month. After checking her teeth she thinks that Ginger is at least 5 and maybe close to 6 month young. She deserves to have a Birthday and we are going to give her one. We are going to make her Birthday July 1, 2010. We stopped at Petco on the way home and bought her a New Bed, Collar, Harness, Natural Treats,& Blue Buffalo Dog Food. Yesterday I went on line and ordered her a pink cage and a nice cage pillow for when we haul her in the car to the Vets and today I went on line and ordered her 2011 Dog License and a name & address tag. Larry - Cell Dog

Robert named him Teddy. Teddy won’t let Robert out of his sight. In fact, at first, he wouldn’t go on a walk without Robert being with us. Now he’ll go without Robert, but he’ll do his business quickly so that he can come back to the house and be with Robert. It’s been hard on him since Robert started school. He cries when Robert leaves. He is really cute and friendly and has warmed up faster than I imagined. I’m so glad that he is part of our family and that he bonded with Robert so fast.

Linus

Linus and Dad are fast friends now. Every evening I come home to find Dad watching TV in the den and Linus on the couch right beside him. Linus follows Dad everywhere and has gotten use to Dad’s little whistle that he does when it’s time to go outside. At bedtime Linus has decided that the floor at the foot of Dad’s bed is best since Dad won’t let him IN the bed. Neither of them are much in favor of all this heat but they spend the lazy days of summer in the AC and don’t seem to mind. If it’s cool enough when I get home in the evenings I walk Linus so that he at least gets a little exercise. Wish I could say the same for Dad. The vet appointment went great. Linus was so well behaved at the office. He just came in and sat right beside Dad and waited his turn. Not even an angry growl or whimper when the vet was checking him out. All is well and he is totally healthy except for his dental work. We will be starting the dental repairs in 2 weeks. We couldn’t have found a more perfect companion for Dad!!!
