Geoffrey
3/17/17 - I am sad to have to tell everyone that Tom Roue contacted me today that Geoffrey crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, March 17th. He was 14 years old. He came to Tom and Cindy in 2012 and together they came through many obstacles. Geoffrey was loved and will be dearly missed.
From Tom:
It just seemed like Geoffrey's life had become too much of a struggle for him to be enjoying it and it was time to let him go with dignity.
I can't talk about it yet and it's hard to even write about.
Geronimo
We do our best to provide all available medical care to every dog that comes to us.. but sometimes these seniors just need a comfortable home for hospice, as was the case for Geronimo... While he wasn't able to find his forever home, he did have the love and comfort of a foster home who helped him through renal failure and held him to the end. We love our fosters and certainly those that take the extra care with special cases and needs.
Gizmo
3/30/2016 - Gizmo has been with my family since 2012. He had been horribly abused and was homeless. I took him into my home as a RORR foster when he was approximately 12 yrs old, not house trained, deaf and had a heart murmur. He eventually went to live with my mom because she was always home and he could spend his days sunbathing. Today at 16 yrs of age, he could no longer see, hear or control his back legs. Mom made the extremely hard decision to help him cross the bridge.
Golden Chance
1/14/2016 - Our sweet Chance brought us into Reach Out Rescue. We adopted him in March 2014. He was the most precious senior dog you could ever meet. He had so many medical issues, spine injury, seizures, and on and on but he never showed anything other than love and appreciation for being rescued. We will miss him everyday but we know he is happy and healthy and the one thing that we did not know he had was cancer and it took him from us so quickly. He and little Hugo are running free and healthy now!
