Lady

Lady, our Heinz 57 variety dog, came to us nine years ago with her sibling, a Golden retriever type. We called them Lady and Tramp. It wasn’t long before Lady became an inside dog. She became a regular member of the family and loved to ride in the car. Didn’t matter where we went or if she had to wait in the car for us, she was happy just to be with us. There’s an emptiness in our hearts... Lady was the absolute best dog there ever was.

Shelly

It is with a very heavy heart and extreme sadness that I tell you that Shelly is now in heaven. I will miss and love her forever. I took pictures of her up until the very end if you would like to see them. She was the sweetest angel to come into my life and I feel so sad and empty without her. I pray I was able to provide her with comfort till the end. Martine

Sally

Sally started getting sick, and was progressively getting worse.  Her foster, Jean, tried everything she could think of... But on July 22nd, Sally took a turn for the worse. Her foster, Jean, rushed her to the vet, only to learn that she was suffering from severe kidney failure. Jean made the difficult decision to let Sally go...

Sally was a sweet older girl, who never had a good life until she was taken in by her foster, Jean. But her life was very good with Jean, and if Sally could, we are sure that she would say "thank you for saving me".

Aztec ("Azzie")

On July 3rd, Bettie Langrall's senior German Shepherd Aztec took his last breath... he was a dear boy, who was blind and spent the first couple of years of life locked in a dark shed... He is also the senior Shepherd pictured in our logo... we all share Bettie's loss and know that dear Azzie is now seeing and playing with his lost friends!

Bettie says that Aztec had a "serene sweetness and nobility". He was 13 years, 3 months old. Bettie was blessed to have Aztec in her life for 11 years.

Skipper

Skipper left us too soon, but he is one of many who has inspired us all to work so hard for the dogs that we rescue. Run free Skipper.
