Mabel
It was a beautiful cool summer day yesterday when we said goodbye to our beautiful soul, Mabel. She collapsed in the morning and with her liver shot and the cancer spread to her lungs, she was having trouble breathing and she had stopped eating. She had a lovely day on a friend's farm the day before and she was with friends at the end, and went peacefully. She was only with us for a short while, but she stole our hearts and we will love her always. Myrtle sees that she's gone, but is coping very well. We're all off to the park in a few minutes and that will lift her spirits.

Winnie
To all, We have lost another sweet girl this week and she has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Winnie was a real sweetie and was adopted by our own volunteer Vivienne Smith. It has been a rough few weeks for her as she just lost Elsa recently too. Sweet Winnie runs happy and healthy now.

Hudson
I just wanted to let you know we lost our sweet Hudson (he was Tyson with you guys) last weekend. He had a nose bleed out of no where and we took him in to our vet and within 2 days he had some swelling around one of his eyes. The vet thought maybe a tumor but was ruling out abcess - so we had him on lots of antibiotics and steroids and pain meds but the blood work came back normal - so they though tumor. They did an xray as well and he had some arthritis all through his spine. He was having a hard time in the last few months getting around so we were staying on the first floor of our house with him. It was less than a week and his eye just got worse and worse even with meds so with the vets help and our very hard decision we decided to let him go :( I can tell you how heart broken we are. He was just an awesome dog and everyone loved him including our beagle mix (who I think is broken hearted as well). Whenever my nephews came for a sleep over, he insisted on sleeping with them. He was an angel and we are so glad we had him even if a few short years. Katy Gaffney

Merlin
.We were with him at the end but deeply anesthetized after continual seizures throughout the day he rallied and kissed us both. We're shattered. We tried so hard. He had a great year with us.

Lucky Boy
Lucky Boy passed away today. He had lots of angels in his life - the neighbor who watched over him when his owner wasn't coming home, RORR who took in a very special senior dog with cancer, Karen Merrithew his foster, and his wonderful adopters who welcomed him into their hearts and home knowing their time with him would be short. Lucky, you will be missed but never forgotten. You are loved.
