Jackson Lab
Sometimes when these seniors finally get to us their bodies have just given up as they are so lost emotionally. That is the case with Jackson! He arrived and after a lot of testing and vet visits, he was considered hospice. His foster provided him with love, care and comfort during his last few weeks with us. We said goodbye to this dear boy and wished him well. His partner and friend Libby is still in hope of a home and grieving.

Brittany
It was with a sad heart that I had to let two of my dogs, Britney and Brutus (former RORR dog), cross the rainbow bridge. Britney was a Border Collie/Lab mix that we adopted in 2005 at the age of 6. When we first adopted her she didn’t even know what a toy was. During her 9 years with us she learned to love her stuffed toys, as well as long walks and visiting streams. We fostered Brutus, age 13, before adopting him and making him an official part of our family. Although we only had him for one year, he was the sweetest boy who just wanted to be with his family and had a remarkable love for life.

Truffles
Little Truffles, you will be missed so much.. but you were loved for the time you had with us.

Allie
Allie was sweet, happy, full of tail wagging joy of life. And young. She loved to romp and play like the puppy she was. She found a wonderful family who loved her very much and received more attention from them than any five dogs might expect. She was the center of their world. She loved treats, and her big brown begging eyes got her lots, sadly. Some of those treats were tainted and recalled, but too late for Allie. She died way too soon, never having the chance to live out her life. We are trying to take solace in the fact that the few years allotted to her were happy ones. She is mourned both by her RORR foster and her beloved family.
