Allie
Allie was sweet, happy, full of tail wagging joy of life. And young. She loved to romp and play like the puppy she was. She found a wonderful family who loved her very much and received more attention from them than any five dogs might expect. She was the center of their world. She loved treats, and her big brown begging eyes got her lots, sadly. Some of those treats were tainted and recalled, but too late for Allie. She died way too soon, never having the chance to live out her life. We are trying to take solace in the fact that the few years allotted to her were happy ones. She is mourned both by her RORR foster and her beloved family.

Anastasia
While we know dealing with seniors they don't have lots of years left, we are so saddened and heartbroken when they pass before we can give them their last home. For Anastasia who bloated on us this morning, she at least was in the comfort and love of a foster home who treats every dog as her own... and we know her late husband will now be Anastasia's caretaker!

Aztec ("Azzie")

On July 3rd, Bettie Langrall's senior German Shepherd Aztec took his last breath... he was a dear boy, who was blind and spent the first couple of years of life locked in a dark shed... He is also the senior Shepherd pictured in our logo... we all share Bettie's loss and know that dear Azzie is now seeing and playing with his lost friends!

Bettie says that Aztec had a "serene sweetness and nobility". He was 13 years, 3 months old. Bettie was blessed to have Aztec in her life for 11 years.
